The Canadas was looking to balance readability and visual engagement in a publication focused on localized Canadian history and travel. In short, it needed to be in the Goldilocks zone. To do this, the visual density of each spread was designed to strike a balance between light and engaging typographical treatments and long-form literary experiences. Carefully considering each aspect, this book ultimately blends both modern and traditional typographic treatments in a book that is laid out just right.
